Hopefor22aDay was created in an effort to help the 22 a day before the thought becomes a possibility. Our perseverance and empathy for others is what will be the strength and passion that will be needed within this organization.

Through our own personal experiences, we realized that the knowledge and preparation provided by the military for their own veteran's homecoming was inadequate. Hopefor22aday's primary focus will be providing veterans and their families a support system they need right at home.

A program will be offered with the tools to be able to better understand what to expect and how to support their veteran when it comes to traumas, mental health and the reintegration back into family life, post military.

Hopefor22aDay will strive to bring a variety of support options, emphasizing on our veterans and their families that they are never battling alone.

The Veteran Administration statistics confirm 22 Veterans a day are succumbing to suicide on American soil.
The total number of those losing their battle grows larger with each day research and treatments are not able to be done.

According to AWP’s findings, 22-24 veterans ages 18-64 commit suicide each day and 18-20 veterans in the same age group die per day by self-injury. Combined, this points to at least 40-44 veterans taking their lives every day.  Which points to a gross UNDER estimate of veteran suicides per day by the Veteran Affairs reports done yearly.  Not only are we losing veterans at an astonishing rate, but the below statistics for the military spouse and military dependents.

9.7 out of 100,000 military children commit suicide each year

11.7 out of 100,000 military spouses commit suicide each year
